The State Bank of India has recently published the notification of Probationary Officers recruitment.The official SBI PO 2018 notification says that there will be 2000 probationary officer’s post all over India. Interested and eligible candidates can apply now as the application procedure has already begun.

Eligibility criteria for applying –
As on 31.08.2018; Interested candidates must be a Graduate from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification
recognized as such by the Central Government.
Candidates should not be below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2018.

Selection procedure –
The selection of candidates will be held in three successive stages.
- Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
- Group Exercise & Interview
1. Preliminary Exam:
100 objective type questions will be asked in the Preliminary exam. The exam will be held online. The questions will be asked from three sections (English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning). Candidates will get 1-hour duration (separate timings for each section) to solve the paper.
2. Main Exam:
Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive test by typing on the computer.
Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after completion of the Objective Test.

The Descriptive test will be held immediately after completion of the Objective test. Candidates will have to answer 2 question for 50 marks under 30 minutes. It will be a test of English Language (Letter writing and Essay).
A penalty for the wrong answer:
There will be a penalty for wrong answers given in the Objective Tests. For each wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.
3. Group Exercise & Interview:
A category wise merit list will be published on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Main Examination. Candidates numbering up to 3 times (approximately) of the category wise vacancies will be shortlisted for the Group Exercise & Interview.
- Group Exercise – 30 marks
- Interview – 20 marks
- The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will not be added for preparing the final merit list for selection.
- Only the marks obtained in Main Examination, both in Objective Test and Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in Group Exercise & Interview for preparing the final merit list.
- The candidates will have to qualify both in Mains and Group Exercise & Interview separately.
